Uplift and enrich your soul with Bach's magnificent setting of St. Matthew's account of the last days of Christ. This epic musical drama is considered one of the most powerful sacred works ever composed, and contains some of Bach's most beautiful passages.

Discover the Music of Mozart

Excerpts from much-loved overtures and symphonies. A special tribute to Mozart's musical genius, in honour of his 250th birthday!

The Discovery Series are the educational concerts geared towards Elementary and Middle School children. The concerts are one hour in length.  All bookings are made by phoning the ASO office. The cost is $5 per student. There is one free adult admitted per 10 students. Each additional adult pays $5. The general public is welcome to attend, but must call the ASO office to purchase a $5 ticket.

                                             Robert Rozak, Violin

Soloist, chamber musician and conductor Robert Rozak studied under Jasha Heifetz. He has served on the faculty of Columbia University, and teaches a prestigious summer course in St. Moritz, Switzerland. His master classes last season were held in Germany, China and Russia.

An all-Mozart piano concerto competition, in celebration of the composer's 250th birthday.  Two outstanding BC pianists will compete in guest solo appearances with the Abbotsford Symphony Orchestra.  The concertos featured will be chosen by the competitors.
